The MDOC grievance and misconduct processes can be confusing, especially when families are trying to understand what happened, what options their loved one has, what deadlines matter, and when an issue may need to be appealed or raised through another avenue.

We’ll be joined by Nathan Lumbard, Senior Paralegal with Margolis & Cross, for a practical conversation about these processes and what families should know when supporting someone inside.

We’ll discuss misconducts, grievances, appeals, documentation, important timelines, and the role families can play in helping their loved one understand and navigate these systems.
