FPP Virtual General Monthly Meeting

Family Participation Program (FPP) — Monthly Virtual Meeting
Citizens for Prison Reform’s Family Participation Program (FPP) hosts a monthly virtual gathering on Zoom for families impacted by incarceration. These meetings take place every third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 PM and are designed to inform, support, and empower families as they navigate complex systems and advocate for their loved ones.
Each month, FPP offers a mix of education, community connection, and practical advocacy support. Meetings may include:
Educational workshops on topics such as parole preparation, navigating the corrections system, visitation rights, and reentry planning.
Legislative updates that explain current policies, proposed reforms, and how families can engage in advocacy efforts that affect their loved ones.
Guest speakers, including system-impacted leaders, legal advocates, mental health professionals, and community partners who share knowledge and lived experience.
Opportunities for families to connect, ask questions, and learn from one another in a supportive, nonjudgmental space.
FPP is facilitated by trained CPR advocates who are committed to helping families understand their rights, access resources, and build the confidence to effectively support and advocate for their loved ones.
This Month’s Focus: Parole Preparation Workshop
A practical workshop to help families and incarcerated individuals understand the parole process, prepare for hearings, and share resources that support successful reentry.
